    LEARNING NEW SKILLS

    NEW BEGINNINGS (300x300)

I just couldn't resist this cute curvaceous pin up vintage gas station artwork to celebrate this day. Pumping my own gas is a whole new skill and (don't laugh) something that has been scarey to me. You see, in Oregon we're not allowed to pump our own gas so I never learned all the ins and outs. But, "Dear Kay, we're not in Oregon any more, and one must pump one's own gas if one is to be able to run errands, get to appointments, and take of day-to-day business." Today I looked very sad and pitiful when I asked a full serve young attendant if he would give me a lesson. He was so sweet as he walked me through the process and told me to come back any time if I needed a refresher course. We'll see if I have reached mastery level with this skill when I have to pump my own gas the next time at a different station.
