I'm a firm believer that one increases their creativity by being open to and playing with a variety of cretative endeavors ... at least that my excuse for today. Enjoy your sourjourn through my studio playroom. May you find encouragement and inspiration, and on occassion, a little pin-prick that may be thought-provoking or spark your imagination. Thank you for stopping by.

    BONES JOURNAL PAGE

Just a quick glimpse into my art/journal quilt planning journal. This is a copy of the page with notes and ideas ... first impressions ... how would I transform this concept into an art quilt. I find it really helps me to come closer to making the project REAL ... making it happen ... if I actually write some of all those ideas that float around in my head down on paper.

I've started creating the page blanks ... just background, photo, and basic info (date, place, etc) using my digital scrapbooking supplies. I then print these pages on regular paper so they're ready for my actual pen/pencil journaling. Once I get my thoughts down I can go back to my original PSD file and add the text layers so the pages is ready for sharing in a public forum. These pages are ready for slide show/powerpoint presentations for classes, workshops, and guild programs, as well as, printed and assembled in actual journal form.

This is a process I'll be teaching in upcoming classes beginning with our annual Sisters Retreat in July.
