    1310 STITCHOUT

    NEW patterns up!

NEW catalog pages up! Be sure to go in and download the whole set for your files and customer browsing. All the pages have been updates as well as new patterns added.

I'll be continuing to add new patterns regularly over the next month and will be making note of them here in the blog. You can also click on the WHAT'S NEW link on the home page to go straight to a listing of all NEW products as they are added.

This is a photo of the stitchout I did of a 2 repeat/2 row layout of 1310 Juanita's Block. The block is designed at 18" but I set the block width/height at 8" for the test. The blocks bump right up against each other as they repeat across the quilt top. The feathers look best when the spine are matching and close so keeping the horizontal tension even really helps keep the patterns in alignment.

Here's what I REALLY want to do with this pattern ... I have a piece of fabric - really soft print of roses about 4" in width/height in various shades of pink with darker pink swirling ribbons. I think this would look beautiful with the blocks repeating across the fabric as a simple wholecloth quilt. Simple separating straightline borders would be great as a frame and help create a resting space for the eye.

Choices, choices, choices for the outer border ... to scallop or to leave them straight ... that is the question. Hmmmmm .... stayed tuned for another post. I think I'll need to do some auditioning mockups to see which I like best.
