Welcome to Mountaintop Quilting Studio

This is where you find me exploring a variety of creative adventures mostly about but not limited to quilting. I'm a firm believer that one increases their creativity by being open to and playing with a variety of cretative endeavors ... at least that my excuse for today. Enjoy your sourjourn through my studio playroom. May you find encouragement and inspiration, and on occassion, a little pin-prick that may be thought-provoking or spark your imagination. Thank you for stopping by.

    DESIGNING DIVAS 3:2

How are you coming with the design challenge? It's still not too late to pick up the special pricing on the challenge unit 1402 Hearts A Flutter Block 2

For my QLO (quilt layout) this week, I used the block unit in a classic design pattern I like to use to provide movement across a quilt top. TUMBLING or rotating a directional pattern across a quilt top will create the illusion of lots of swirling motion in the quilting design.

    Patterns used:

    • From Kay Oft Mountaintop Quilting 1402 Hearts A Flutter Block 2
    • From the Statler Precision Stitch Pattern Library: Chain

Remember to send me an email with your entries in the design challenge using 1402 Hearts a Flutter Block 2. Create a quilt layout in repeat pattern mode in Creative Studio. Send me a jpeg of your layout remembering to list the names of the patterns and designers names used in your layout. I'll post them in the gallery as an inspirational resource for everyone to be able to use.
