More ideas using 1402 Hearts a Flutter Block 2 and practice with the DIVIDE PATTERN feature in Creative Studio.

This block derivation was created by dividing the pattern as described HERE and then rotating half of the block 180 degrees. After adding a connecting p2p line and setting up the sewing order so the block can stitch out with a continuous line, it's time to start playing.
Check out 4 different block combinations that might work across a quilt top. It's fun to play with creating secondary design surprises that happen simple by how the blocks are placed next to each other. Reverse directions, create diamons, or go for a strong horizontal or vertical design element.

But wait, ever wonder what this might look like placed on a log cabin quilt top? I love working with the Electric Quilt software and Auto Sketch in combination for easy auditioning of possible quilting projects. This preview uses the divided block variation.
And another possibility using 1402 Hearts a Flutter Block 2 with out any dividing.

I hope you're remembering to set aside time each week for playing with Creative Studio so you become more comfortable with all the wonderful features included in the software and, of course, the more you play with your design library and all the different combinations of blocks the easier it will become in choosing designs to use on any given quilt top.
