DAYBOOK 3

A photo thought to share: Good-bye favorite summer shoes ...
FOR TODAY: September 19th 2010 ...
Outside my window: the church bells ring in the morning, at noon, and in the evening - a comforting anchor through the day
I am amazed by: how long some things take and how quickly other things are accomplished ... forever or in the blink of an eye.
I am thinking: I'm training the puppy, I think, or ... is she training me? Regardless, I think we're making progress.
I am thankful for: sugar-free coffee syrups, Netflix, and my personal trainer in puppy form - she keeps me walking 2-3 times a day.
New things I’m learning: how to train Miso Puppy to not bite or chew so much; I think we (both she and I) need Puppy Training classes.
From the kitchen: lots of chicken soup to help me kick this head cold.
I am creating: .more flowers for my hexagon garden.
I am going: to a quilt show in Bennington Vermont ... can't wait for eye-candy and inspiration.
I am reading: catching up on favorite blogs this week. Graceling is still on the bedside table. Hmmm ... not often a story doesn't eventually grab my attention.
I am hoping: I can fit in a pedicure this week ... much needed and starting to get desparate. Shall I go for a traditional color or something wild and whacky?
I am hearing: the cardinal that keeps teasing me with his chirps and hiding amongst the branches so I can't see him through the leaves.
Around the house: it feels good to have things straightened up again and to get rid of a few more boxes.
One of my favorite things: comfy no-nonsense clothes
A few plans for the rest of the week: organizing and sorting and catching up ... in the studio, in the hexagon flower garden project box, on the computer - digital scrapbooking files and projects, and getting ready for family coming to celebrate Apple Squeeze weekend.
Ponderings: Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it. Lou Holtz
Treating myself to some time for reflection, time to catch up with favorites in the blog world, and time to discover new blogs ... and I found The Simple Woman's Daybook blog site. I am fascinated with the simple approach for journaling and am going to give it a whirl this month. Click on the link if you're interested in joining in on the adventure.
