    SNOW DAY

Posted by mountaintopquilting on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

snowday How could I wake up to more than two feet of snow and not write about it?

The first order of business ... Miso needs to go out. But I can't get the door open until I shovel the snow out of the way ... kind of like Little House on the Prairie. At least my snow wasn't all the way up the roof line. LOL

I shovel a little away so we can get out and then let Miso out while I continue shoveling - this is at the kitchen door. I like to get the porch completely clear so ...

    1. we know where the steps are rather than just falling off the porch to get down.

    2. If I can keep the porch clear of snow I will track in less when I have to go out and rescue Miso.

After we finished the kitchen porch it was time to move on to the basement door. Oh my goodness, just a little bit more of a challenge since the door is burried in snow - we're almost below ground level. Imagine needing to push 2 feet of snow by pushing out with the door. At least the snow is a very light powdery snow.

But enough of me telling you all about it ... let's just look at the pictures.

    snowblower neighbor

God bless the neighbor with a snowblower who loves my dog!

    miso come out and play

Miso says, "Come out and play with me!"

    miso waiting for me

Miso says with her toe tapping impatiently, "I'm waiting."

    cmon not that deep

    "C'mon, it's not that deep!"

    can u see her

She finally gave up and started blazing her own snow trails.
