WINTER 2012 PAGE HEADER

Welcome to Mountaintop Quilting Studio

This is where you find me exploring a variety of creative adventures mostly about but not limited to quilting. I'm a firm believer that one increases their creativity by being open to and playing with a variety of cretative endeavors ... at least that my excuse for today. Enjoy your sourjourn through my studio playroom. May you find encouragement and inspiration, and on occassion, a little pin-prick that may be thought-provoking or spark your imagination. Thank you for stopping by.

    PP JAN

Not much time for blogging this week as you can see. Sandwiched in between snow storms and shoveling duties, I was pretty focused on the projects in the studio.

I started the week with babysitting joy in Boston, but when I came back to the Berkshires I was ready to get to the creative play with:

    • collage on canvas (an Art Journal Caravan challenge)
    • finish work on Waggle Dance (Art Journal Quilt)
    • working on establishing a habit of regular play-time in my sketch journal
    • play with watercolor paints
    • get started on Eryn's hat working from the pattern she picked out when she was here in December
    • learn how to work my new DVR (love it)
    • set up more stations/functions with internet TV system (will be on-going LOL)
    • experiment with 2 new recipes - more to follow in future posts
    • photos: try to capture the beautiful colors in a Winter sky - they're so different from the colors we see in the sky in Oregon

Whew! And scattered here and there between all of those activities ... time to play with Miso in the snow and stay-warm snuggles on the couch.
