    ERYNS HAT FINISHED

Today is a day for catching up on some of those loose threads I've left hanging from previous posts and giving a little love and support for all of you taking advantage of the freebies offered in the Free Quilting Patterns section of the store. First, Eryn's hat ...

I did get it finished about a week and a half ago and suddenly realized when I was using it yesterday that I hadn't ever taken a photo to show you guys how it turned out and how it look when it was all done. Just as I suspected would happen, this yarn doesn't allow for the soft drapeness that cashmere would produce, but I really like the shape of this pattern with this yarn. Kind of like a puffy little cream puff or popover on my head. The wide band of cable ribbing is just perfect for a folded over double layer headband affect and super warm over the ears. I'm not sure I'll be sending this to Eryn after all. I think these days I might have more need of a hat like this than she does. She's awfully busy outside getting her spring gardening going ... she's already planted her peas and is hoping the danger of frost has already passed in her banana-belt-neck- of-the-woods.

Onto to Freebie Frenzy that has taken place in the store this week. Paypal has certainly been busy picking up all the pennies you've been throwing their way. Many of you misunderstood the process of accessing the patterns for free links and instead, chose to click on "Add to cart." As soon as you put something in your shopping cart it is no longer FREE.

So, to help you out with this process and to keep those pennies in your pocket, I created a tutorial page so you'll be ready when the next batch of FREEBIES goes up in the store. Click on the link to be taken to the pdf file that takes you step-by-step through the download process with screen shots all along the way.

Another thing that happens with choosing the "Add to cart." click rather than choosing the "Click HERE" link for your free patterns is that you will find you're missing about 8 of the patterns files because they are not linked into the cart system ... because they're free. LOL But you still need your patterns, so here's a list of those 8 patterns with links to the individual product pages so you can practice your "right-click-finger-dance" downloading and grab those pattern files.

    1472 FS COLLECTION

Even better news ... there are no download limits on the FREBBIES and they are never removed from the site so you can always go back and grab them again and again if anything happens to your files.

Don't forget: Today is your last chance to pick up the 1472 FEATHER SURPRISE COLLECTION with the deeply discounted introductory sale price (almost 70% off.) Sale price ends promptly at midnight tonight MST, so if you haven't gone in to check it out yet, click on the link above and see all the great patterns in the collection. You'll not want to miss out on this opportunity to add these versatile patterns to your library.

Enjoy your new patterns and take a minute or two to leave some love in the comment box below. I love hearing about how you use these patterns, and, of course, I always love seeing photos of your work.

Keep Learning ... Keep Creating ... Keep it Fresh
