    COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Posted by mountaintopquilting on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

A project started at the beginning of the month as part of a workshop with Tangie Baxter at Scrapbook Graphics , the Count Your Blessings art journal is just one of the many activities contained in her Studio Box Workshop 3 . The kit has everything you need for a variety of activities to help celebrate the season of gratitude with family and friends and is not limited to only art journaling.

Tangie is very helpful with her demo videos guiding you as you try new techniques,  explore new art mediums, and have fun making a new project. You should have seen my workspace (and me!) the day I decided to try the splatter painting. I had paint everywhere ... on my hands, on my shirt, on my face, on my desk and supply containers. I even found orange paint splats on my lamp shade just this morning, but, sadly, none on my page. Going to have to work on that technique some more. but for now, my pages are all put together with prompts and collaged ephemera with a variety of backgrounds and all that is left is to add the journaling.

I'm not in any rush to complete that part because I want to be thoughtful and genuine in my responses to the prompts. Another words, yes, I would love to see world peace and life a long and healthy life ... but, let's keep it real, too :)
