MISTLETOE MAGIC 2011: BLOCK CENTER
Posted by mountaintopquilting on Sunday, December 4th, 2011
And we're off and rolling with the first step in making your quilt starting with cutting and constructing the block centers. Notice the pattern is sized for THROW, TWIN, QUEEN, and KING bed-sized quilts when all is said and done. Be sure to follow the correct columns and patch counts when cutting and piecing for the size you've chosen to make.
Leave me a note or two in the comment box as to which color combination you might be using for your blocks. I'm using a common background (small red dots on white) and scrappy reds the full range of values from light to dark for my main and contrast fabrics. Notice the pile of fat quarters my friend Marje sent me for Christmas. Perfect for this project and just enough left to make more blocks for my Christmas Hunter Star quilt. But that's another story for another day. Enough of with the chit-chat ... let's get to the instruction sheet.
