MORE LOOPY STARS Posted on 11 Jul 12:37 , 0 comments

How did you celebrate your 4th of July Holiday? I did the usual traditional things we do here in the States ... barbeque with friends and fireworks. We have gotten together with the same friends for almost 30 years now every 4th of July.

We play our own version of Progressive Rummy while waiting for the sun to set, the sky to get dark and the fireworks to start. Norm and Pam come to our place to celebrate the holiday because we are up high enough with our elevation being above 1000 feet, we have quite a view  of the fireworks shows across the surrounding valley. And the best part ... no hassles with traffic getting back home after the show.

Another activity I did during the holiday weekend was to quilt three quilts for the American Hero Quilt Project. I've written before about my friend Jan who has ladies into her studio regularly to piece the tops for this cause. Jan sends me all I need to quilt the quilts for them once the quilt tops are finished.

This time I quilted all three quilts using the freebie pattern from the previous post ... 1375 Loopy Stars. If you didn't pick up your freebie yet, be sure to go back a post to find the download link. And, enjoy the EYE CANDY as you check out some great ideas for piecing patterns for soldier quilts.
